Say hello to Apollo, our sleek and clean second Ram Promaster 1500 conversion camper van. This beast comes as a “dry” camper van, meaning it doesn’t have running water or a bathroom. However, Apollo is fully equipped with everything you need for an unforgettable trip including a cozy full-size bed (75” long, 54” wide, and 8” thick, sleep easy our friends). The only items you need to bring are your preferred outdoor gear, specific phone/device charging cords, and groceries upon arrival.
Designed for two people with simplicity, comfort, and convenience in mind, Apollo comes with the following amenities at no extra charge:

- (1) 75 Qt. Cooler
- (1) small propane bottle

- Miscellaneous items such as toilet paper, paper towels, spices, cooking oil, rags, cleaning spray, hand sanitizer, and baby wipes
Additionally, Apollo is equipped with an auxiliary battery that powers 12v LED lighting in the back, a four-port USB charging station, and an exhaust fan to keep you cool or assist in releasing vapors while cooking. All these features are powered by a separate auxiliary battery, ensuring the main battery remains unaffected.
Two other exciting features of Apollo are the backup camera and the external 120v plug-in extension cord. In case you find yourself at a campground with power, you can connect externally and have electricity available inside the van. Feel free to bring your laptop if needed!
Apollo is easy to drive, and the backup camera provides an added safety buffer when maneuvering in tight spaces. With an estimated fuel economy of 17-22 MPG, this fully equipped home on wheels ensures a comfortable and enjoyable journey.
Please note that Apollo can be driven on any road except for the Dalton Highway (Road to Deadhorse) and the road from Chitina to McCarthy.
When driving on gravel, it’s recommended to take it slow for a smoother ride.

How Apollo Got Its Name
During a vacation to the Sunshine State, visiting Eric’s retired parents, we came across this van on a complete whim. The day after spending time at the legendary Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, we decided to compare the costs of Ram Promaster vans in Florida vs. Alaska. Well, we found one for a great price and in great condition, and we couldn’t resist!
Boom, we bought the van and drove it all the way up to Alaska. What an adventure it turned out to be, but that story is for another time! Our Apollo spaceship felt like the right name stemming from the Space Center visit we will never forget.
